Batik

The ancient technique of drawing in wax and dyeing the fabric is a satisfying medium for drawing the movement of dancers. I drew the dancers during their rehearsals and performances and sold 300 batik paintings of The Alvin Ailey American Dancers at the City Center Gallery where they performed.
